Degraded service with Kallidus Reporting

  • Post-Mortem

    Summary of impact: Between 09:00 (BST) and 09:45 (BST) on 25 September 2019, interactive reporting services for the Kallidus LMS, Learn and Perform products were unavailable. Scheduled reporting was unaffected.

    Preliminary root cause: Kallidus engineers have determined that this was due to an issue with the Tomcat web application server.

    Mitigation: Upon becoming aware of the issue, engineers restarted the Tomcat web application server on the affected server and normal service resumed.

    Next steps: Kallidus have engaged SAP (the owners of Business Objects). Engineers continue to work with SAP to identify the root cause and will update this RCA once this has been established.

  • Resolved

    Normal reporting service has now resumed for Kallidus Learn and Classic LMS. Scheduled reports were not impacted by this issue.
