Between 17:32 on 01-02-2022 and 07:37 on 03-02-2022, users accessing Kallidus products authenticating via a Single Sign-On SAML 2.0 provider would have experienced disrupted access to their services.
Preliminary root cause: Engineers determined that an update to an automated process resulted in a empty values being committed to customer SAML configuration, causing users of customers using SAML SSO being unable to login. A resolution was in place by 02:45 GMT 02-02-2022, at which time the vast majority of affected customers would have been able to login successfully. There were isolated customers for whom additional steps were required and these were dealt with as and when errors were detected. Kallidus has taken measures to improve its automation, monitoring and management processes to prevent any future reoccurrence.
