Degraded Service: Kallidus Recruit

» View Event Details | Created Mon, 14 Jul 2025 16:25:00 +0000

Post-Mortem

Between 14:30PM and 19:00 (BST) on 14-07-2025, Recruit systems were impacted by an issue where candidates were unable to apply for jobs..

Root cause: The issue stemmed from a change made by one of our third-party providers, who supply location data (geocoding). They retired an older version of their service that our system was still using. Unfortunately, our application didn’t handle this change gracefully, which led to the disruption.

We’ve updated the Recruit system to be more resilient. Now, if the location service fails—whether due to known or unexpected reasons—candidates will still be able to apply without interruption.

We’re reviewing our integration with third-party services to ensure similar issues are caught earlier and handled more smoothly in the future.

Resolved

Our engineers have now implemented steps to mitigate the issue with searching by location and the candidate's ability to submit applications. Apologies again for the inconvenience this caused this evening. We will be reaching out to our 3rd party to ensure future instances of this are limited.

Update

Our engineers are currently looking to mitigate the issue with both submitting applications and searching by location, which has been caused by the unavailability of geolocation information from a 3rd party provider. We will update further when we have put mitigation in place to resolve this.

Degraded Service: Kallidus Learn

» View Event Details | Created Thu, 24 Jul 2025 09:59:00 +0000

Post-Mortem

Between 07:30 and 16:55 (BST) on 24-07-2025, a minority of customers may have encountered an error when accessing the Administration area of Kallidus Learn. Root cause: Kallidus engineers identified that a network change had caused a small number of systems to reach a limit on outgoing network connections to a dependent service critical to Learn's Administration functionality.

A further change to remove this limit was made and normal service resumed.

Engineers will be making enhancements to their deployment processes, to better identify potential limitations prior to deployment, and to their observability platform, to ensure that such an issue would immediately be identified.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this disruption and thank you for your patience while the issue was resolved.
